The newborn session takes place in the comfort of your own home. Since I am a natural light photographer I will need to work in an area that is open and gets a lot of natural sunlight. Most of the time that usually means the front room of the house, but I've been known to work in a kitchen now and then too! =)
Yes! We can definitely get a new updated family portrait for you! If siblings are involved it's usually best to do these first so the little one can run off and play in another room so as to not disturb the newborn.
The newborn session can last up to three hours. All babies are different and are on their own sleep schedules. A couple days before the session I will email you a “prep guide” which will help get the baby ready for their big photograph debut. If the baby isn't feeling the session we will do what we can, but I don't believe in pushing a baby to do what they don't want to. We will still be able to get adorable images for you to cherish; they just might not all be posed sleeping portraits.
I recommend booking your newborn session once you're past your first trimester. I only take a limited number of sessions each month and I want to make sure there is a spot available for you!
To move forward with booking your newborn session a non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit is applied to your session price and holds your photography session date for you.
