Sometimes photographing children is hard. You want to be able to capture their true personality and not just have them stare at the camera and say “cheese”, even if it is really cute when they do it! When Madison’s mom suggested a playground for her 5 year portraits I knew I would be doing a lot of chasing her around but I also knew I would get some great shots of her just being herself. And I am SO glad we did the playground, the Wizard of Oz playground at that! Which made my heart super happy – Wizard of Oz fanatic over here! =) I just love all these photos we were able to capture of Madison just being herself and like her shirt says “Do more of what makes you happy” that’s exactly what I see when I look at these; joy, excitement, curiosity, sweetness, the perfect mix!
