Located on over 12 acres of state park property, Elkridge Furnace Inn is situated on the banks of the Patapsco River, south of the Baltimore Harbor. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, it consists of the 19th century Federal/Greek Manor House and Inn overlooking the Patapsco River. The Elkridge Furnace Inn center is a historic iron works in Howard County, Maryland. It consists of six remaining buildings of an iron furnace that was functional from the 18th century into the 1860’s. The buildings accommodated a manager and clerk and included a store and hotel and dormitory for the workers. Two outbuildings might have served as slave quarters. Now, the buildings are used as a restaurant and banquet arena. The Manor House dates back to 1810 with nostalgic windows and a big porch for your guests to enjoy. The property cries of its historic past marveling in picturesque scenes and creating a wedding photographer’s dream. Nails and horseshoes were made at the ironworks and during the American Revolutionary War, cannons and bayonets were forged.

Guests will enjoy a splendid front porch where photo shoots are a must! The Celebration Lounge is a getting ready place to change into your wedding attire. It is a good place for relaxing before the wedding and a great opportunity for a wedding photographer and pre-wedding pictures. The Ceremony Point is a beautiful and serene spot nestled in nature’s bounty and another magical place just waiting to be photographed as the bridal procession enters. Every season is charming in a special way. Indoor ceremonies are available, if desired, and are equally photogenic for your wedding photographer to memorialize.
