I still can not believe that I was in JAPAN a little over two months ago. That’s still so crazy to me, like I was I on the opposite side of the world.. what?! haha. I am so glad that I had the chance to visit this country though. It’s a place I have always dreamed of exploring, but more on that in a later post! =) When I found out that I would be going to Australia & New Zealand I immediately reached out to Melissa to see if they might be up for doing a shoot in Japan (they are stationed there right now) and she was all for it! I had the privilege of photographing their oldest son, Paxton for his first three years before they moved away, so I was super excited for the chance to be able to see this sweet family again. The day we picked for photos just happened to be one of the chilliest, windiest days possible and with two little ones we knew it wasn’t going to work out very well. But we did manage to grab these shots in probably 10 minutes around the grounds of the Imperial Palace. It’s not 100% what I wanted to do for them, but I’m glad I was able to grab these simple portraits for them. Thank you so much Lange family for taking time out of your busy schedule to spend the day with me in Tokyo, it truly meant a lot to me. Cant wait for you guys to get back State-side! =)
